Do Whitening Strips Make Your Teeth Natural Looking?

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Few products out in the world seem to work wonders for a low price. I’ve tried plenty of products, but whitening strips have to be considered by anyone looking to improve their smile.

These strips really do work great, but I think we should take a closer look before you run out to buy them.

If you use white strips correctly, they will work. You have to make sure your teeth are covered, and not your gums. Gums can begin to hurt if you have the strips on them.

The main chemical that works the wonders for these strips is hydrogen peroxide. It oxidizes the stains you have accumulated on your teeth, making them white again. The more chemical on the strip, the more powerful they are.

Once you have used them for a while, few have much trouble. The only drawbacks to them seem to be sensitivity in their teeth or gums. If you have had past problems with teeth hurting, you may need to consider this side effect before trying them. Everyone will experience a little different feeling though, but that is just from the chemicals.

The bleaching has its limitations. They mainly only work on yellow stains, so make sure you notice a change within a week.

These strips also only cover the main teeth people see. This is not a big problem for most people, but if you have a big smile these strips might not give you enough coverage. A dentist can take care of the missing areas.

There are a ton of different strengths you can purchase. You need to decide how much your teeth are stained to decide which one is right for you.

The best thing is, most people have had success with these strips, so they are not a gimmick. Go out and get your whiter teeth today!

Dry Mouth Remedies To Fix Your Problem

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Many people deal with the annoyance of dry mouth on a daily basis. It’s an unpleasant feeling, and unfortunately one that many suffering from it happen to accept, despite the fact that there are definitely ways to deal with it.

Here are three easy ways to deal with dry mouth symptoms that should put you back on the right path. Follow my lead here, and you’ll be in much better shape.

The logic would follow that a dry mouth needs water. Drink water regularly through the course of the day, especially when you feel like you’re suffering from dry mouth symptoms.

Not only does water naturally benefit your dry mouth, but drinking water would normally imply that you’re not drinking things full of caffeine and/or sugar, both of which end up drying out your mouth more than it was than you started. Alcohol happens to do the same thing, so if you drink, have even more water.

I would also recommend eating many vegetables and fruits. These foods are full of enzymes and other vitamins and minerals that balance out the state of your mouth. They also activate the salivary glands in your mouth, which in turn leads to more moisture through and through.

This very often prevents some of the conditions that we see on the gums or in the inner cheeks that end up irritating our mouths even more.

The last thing I’d recommend is the use of a dry mouth product. One such product is Biotene. With a line of toothpastes and mouthwashes that directly treat the symptoms of dryness in the mouth, regular use of a product like this can easily curb the symptoms of dry mouth. It might even eliminate them.

These are a few of the ways that I’ve handled my dry mouth situation, and it’s barely an issue in my life anymore. Follow my lead and you won’t regret it.

Smoker’s teeth usually have these obvious symptoms: discoloration of teeth and lips, sticky tar deposits, brown tooth stains, chronic bad breath, etc. Here are tips to help whiten teeth.

Brush right after eating berries or drinking coffee and tea since these food and drinks tend to stain your teeth. If you have eaten a lot of sweets while dining out, you can always rinse your mouth with a glass of water. Rub a combination of lemon juice and salt over the teeth, especially on areas that have yellow stains. Munch on crunchy food, such as carrots, apples, celery, and the like, after or during every meal or snacks. You can’t just rely on genetics to ensure you have a great smile. Healthy teeth and gums are the result of a regular oral hygiene regime that includes daily brushing and flossing. Many people try to skip flossing because it is inconvenient and may be painful at times. It’s important to do, though because it removes debris that can result in damaged gums.

Still not convinced? Here’s some more information about the benefits of flossing to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

You may not be aware of it, but flossing is crucial to preventing nasty plaque from forming on your teeth. Think about it. The longer food particles remain wedged between your teeth, the more time plaque has to develop.

Let’s be honest, plaque isn’t pretty. It’s says to the world that you don’t really care about your teeth. If you want healthy gums and teeth from plaque flossing, along with brushing is a must.

Flossing is also important in keeping your gums healthy. It prevents gum diseases such as gingivitis. It helps to remove food particles that get trapped in your gums after eating.

People who floss are also less likely to have bad breath, as well. No one likes to be told they have bad breath. It’s embarrassing. Bad breath occurs when food debris gets stuck in the fissures of your teeth. They can eventually break down and rot if they aren’t removed. This can lead to bad breath, which no one wants.

So, if you want to keep your teeth clean, mouth healthy and breath it’s freshest, floss along with brushing regularly. It’s a one-two punch that knocks out mouth odor and decay.

Dental floss is readily available at stores and your dentist’s office. It takes just seconds to remove food buildup that can potentially damage your teeth and gums. If you’re uncomfortable with flossing, start with once or twice a week. Increase the amount each week and you will see improvements to your dental health and breath.

Bad Breath Can Be Fixed With A Tongue Scraper

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , ,

Who doesn’t want fresh breath? Bad breath is simply a turn off, and probably something that turns you off if you come across someone else with halitosis. No one wants to be that person with bad breath, but some of us were simply born with it.

If you find yourself in this situation, don’t despair. There are things that you can do about it that go beyond the traditional regime of brushing your teeth and chewing gum more often. Let’s attack your bad breath at the root with a few of these strategies.

The first thing I’d suggest doing is changing your diet a little. Try cutting out the sugary and milky foods a bit, in favor of more fruits and vegetables.

Another thing you’ll want to do is to make sure that you floss when you eat red meat. The food that gets stuck in your teeth can be responsible for heavy odors, and flossing will rid your mouth of those odors.

It’s also important that you up your water intake. Drinking water keeps your mouth fresh, your salivary glands active (saliva is a natural fighter of bad breath bacteria), and generally make your mouth healthier.

By drinking a lot of water, you’ll immediately see an improvement in your every day breath.

My third suggestion is to use a tongue scraper on a daily basis. The regular use of a tongue scraper will eliminate the bacteria on the back of your tongue that cause bad breath, and will easily help to cut down on the presence of your bad mouth odors. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

These are my best pieces of simple advice. There are, of course, more things that you can do, but trying these will definitely yield you some great results.

Biotene Is An Effective Dry Mouth Treatment

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , ,

For what seems like my entire life, I have suffered with doctor mouth conditions. I am pretty sure that it relates to the fact that I’ve been taking a medication. Looking back, my condition started at about the same time. Whatever the case could be, it is a terrible nuisance! I have consistently found myself in a situation where my mouth is either scratchy, bugged, dried out, or even red with blood.

All of this is really irritating to me and ends up making for an awkward scenario just about on a daily basis. I’m speaking in the resident tense right at the moment, but I most likely shouldn’t be. This is due to the fact that ever since I learned of Biotene, my problems have been much more controllable than before.

I’m not about to declare that the product works miracles & entirely cures me of the dryness, although you surely get what you pay for so long as you’re using it. I would suggest using both the toothpaste & mouthwash in tandem with one another, as you are likely to enjoy the best results like this.

As for the test, well there is an element built into Biotene that’s called Xylitol. Xylitol is mainly a synthetic sweetener and it’s used in loads of different products that you have probably had before, so I’m confident you won’t think much of this either.

The Xylitol definitely eliminates the stinging feeling you will typically feel when it comes to other cruel mouthwashes that contain alcohol (for example, Listerine). I believe that you will really like the mild intensity of the Biotene & you most undoubtedly will find it soothing to your mouth.

Overall, my dry mouth is more manageable than it is been in years. This is basically all I can hope for, as the dryness is easily controllable to me from here. So long as I take use my toothpaste and mouthwash every day, I am in nice shape.

A Review Of BreathRX

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , ,

For the last two years, I’ve regularly been using the BreathRX product line in my fight against bad breath. I’ve bought the mouthwashes, pills, and all of the other remedies that companies claimed would cure my bad breath and while they helped, they didn’t exactly do the job.

I always saw BreathRX as a bit pricey and was reluctant to try it out. One day, frustrated with the fact that it seemed like my most recent toothpaste/mouthwash combo wasn’t doing enough, I decided to buy some BreathRX.

BreathRX works because of some unique technology that they claim both kills the bad breath bacteria, and then neutralizes the mouth. The combination of some antibacterial oils (these kill the germs on your tongue that are responsible for bad breath) and some zinc, which balances out the state of the mouth, works effectively to kill bad breath, according to the company.

Depending on how extensive you’d like to be with respect to your fight against bad breath, there are a number of different BreathRX products that you may be able to purchase. On a basic level, there’s toothpaste and mouthwash, but there are also tongue scrapers, tongue sprays, gum balls, mints, and more.

Depending on your needs and how much money you can afford to throw at your bad breath, you might want to try just sticking to the toothpaste and mouthwash, as I found these to be more than good enough. On the other hand, you may want to try out a BreathRX starter kit, which lets you sample a number of the product offerings to figure out what might work for you.

All that I can say is I haven’t bought any other brand since making the switch to the BreathRX system. All I use is the toothpaste and the mouthwash as I find this more than enough, but I’ve read online that the other products do their jobs as well. It’s all a matter of what you need.

If you’re looking to save some money, I’d definitely suggest that you buy your BreathRX online, and in bulk. They have well-priced starter kits that you can find if you’d just like to try it out at first, but either way, the online prices will give you over double the value that you’ll typically find in local pharmacies.

Whether you should choose to use this product or not, I wish you luck. BreathRX definitely gets my highest marks.

A Few Good Breath Remedies

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , ,

No one wants to deal with a person who has bad breath. It’s unattractive and it makes us feel awkward whenever we’re around someone with that condition. As a result, we’d be wise to avoid having bad breath ourselves.

Many are led to believe that there’s nothing we can do about this. Thinking that it simply has to do with our genes, they figure that gum and mints are the only way around this. Fortunately, this isn’t the case as there are more effective lasting approaches.

What makes this even better is the fact that none of these solutions will cost you much money. In fact, one of them is even free. Here are three things you can do that will undoubtedly help with your situation.

My first suggestion will be a really simple one. If you drink more water throughout the day, your breath will remain fresher. Water effectively kills some of the germs responsible for the foul odors that emanate from many mouths, and it’s a far more effective solution than things like sodas, which actually make the problem worse.

Every time you visit your dentist, they’ll probably ask you if you floss. Whether you do or not, you should make sure to do it on a regular basis if you’re concerned about your breath. I would recommend flossing at least three times per week.

This all has to do with the junk that gets stuck inside your teeth after you eat foods, especially red meat. All of this ends up resulting in foul odors near the surface of your mouth. The good news is that some simple flossing can do away with these.

One last remedy that doesn’t cost much money or require much time is a tongue cleaner. Many people have seen these but have never used one. It couldn’t be more simple and they cost just a few dollars.

In doing so, you’ll be fighting off the bacteria that live on your tongue and contribute to the presence of unpleasant breath.

Should You Get Dr. Tung’s Tongue Scraper?

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , , , , ,

There are a selection of tongue scrapers on the market. A few made of plastic, others made of rubber, and some are made of metal and stainless steel. Though I could’t claim that I have used them all, Dr. Tung’s tongue scraper is the most well built one that I have ever used. It’s what I still use today ever since the day I came across it a few months ago. I will tell you various reasons for this.

First of all, the shape of Dr. Tungs tongue scraper is u-shaped. This gives it the ability to turn and bend, fitting to the form of your mouth so that it gets to the back of your tongue with no difficulty. You will see that several other tongue scrapers either don’t reach the back of your tongue, or make it awkward, however Dr Tungs tongue scraper accomplishes this with effortlessness.

The soft exterior of Dr Tungs tongue scrapper additionally makes it easy to remove the germs in the rear of your tongue (this is what is responsible for bad breath) sparing itself from damaging your tongue’s cartilage. Your tongue is a sensitive organ and the wrong device may damage the external skin of your tongue by causing it to be bumpy and swollen.

The grips on Dr Tungs tongue scraper are a nice addition as well. They mostly make it mainly simple to apply force to the device, let you modify based on where it is in your mouth (the back of your tongue is mostly wider than the tip).

Most dental professionals will tell you that the use of a tongue scraper is far more effective than mouthwash, which essentially ends up drying up your mouth and makes it easier for bacteria to form again in the back of your tongue. A tongue scraper removes these germs and directly attacks the cause of bad breath instead of masking it with a minty scent.
